BEACON HILL SEATTLE

 TODAY THE WHEEL SPUN

BEACON HILL

FUN FACTS

Bacon Hill was named for the original "Beacon Hill" in Boston.

The towering 16 story Pacific Medical Building that you see from I-5 that looks like an insane asylum or a building out of Gotham City was originally a hospital built in the the 1930's and was the Amazon headquarters for 10 years.

The Twelfth Street Bridge (offering spectacular views of Downtown Seattle) was built because the pre-existing hill was cut out to make easier access to downtown.

FOODS

We ate at the Oak Restaurant on Beacon Ave S.

The Oak Salad with Grilled Chicken and the Penne and Cheese were outstanding.

COFFEE

We popped into Bar Del Corso for Cappuccino and Tea. The atmosphere is delightful.

EXTRAS

Beacon Hill was founded in the 1850's, but still maintains some great character and charm. We recommend spending your date night on Beacon Ave. South. There you will find outdoor community gaming tables, an art wall, great restaurants, Milk Drunk Ice Creamery, and lots of interesting people!

Don't forget to visit Jefferson Park. There you can hit golf balls or take a walk with a great view of the city.

Overall we give Beacon Hill a three beacon rating.
