SOUTH PARK
SOUTH PARK
For today's date we spun the wheel to South Park. This undiscovered tiny bit of neighborhood is just west of Boeing Field.
FUN FACTS
South Park was originally an independent city but after four years it was annexed to Seattle due to lack of clean water.
Before World War II South Park was mostly farmland that supplied food to Pike Place Market.
FOODS
We ate at Uncle Eddies. Their Patty Melt and Chicken Chile Verde Sandwich were delicious. Friendly staff and fun outdoor dining.
DESSERT
Since South Park's Resistencia Coffee Shop was closed, we ventured deeper into town to find this little hole in the wall mexican dessert bakery. For just over $5 we got six pastries!
FUN THINGS TO DO
We found all sort of unique items at the Big Top Curiosity Shop. This is a fun and very quirky store to pop into.
RENT A BIKE & CROSS THE DUWAMISH
We rented Jump bikes and rode across the South Park Bridge. There you can see both Boeing Field and the Marina.
OVERALL
We give South Park a 6 Pastry rating, although we would not venture too far from the one main block of festivities. . .
